What we do . . .

Music Theatre Academy Main School is for boys and girls aged 11 - 18 years. There are currently two groups available on Tuesday evenings. MTA main school exists to provide excellent tuition in the all round craft of Music Theatre. The key thing that MTA delivers is CONFIDENCE. We will provide a happy, safe environment where you as a performer can develop your skills guided by industry experts.

If you are a dancer, singer or an actor but struggle to get the roles you long for because you are not an "All Rounder", MTA seeks to resolve your problems. When you join MTA you need to be as honest as possible on your application form, that way we can work on your weaknesses and build on your strengths.

When you join MTA you will be given a work folder, with tips, tricks and audition pieces. Each term the team of tutors at MTA will work on an aspect of Music Theatre which combines the disciplines of Dance, Drama and Singing. We will guide each student to getting the best out of their performance and really give them the opportunity to take their individual styles to the next level.

After some time at the academy, each student should feel able to audition for bigger roles and have the confidence to be a comfortable performer in public. The opportunity to take part in MTA Shows and audition for lead roles are open to all MTA students.

We have a varied and exciting teaching programme which is lively and fun. On top of all of this our prices are low for a theatre school, this is by keeping our costs to a minimum so the money you spend goes on quality teaching and opportunities for all at MTA.

Venue

MTA meets at Walton on the Hill Scout H.Q. opposite "The Chequers" arms public house. Access to the rehearsal venue is just off the A217 near Kingswood, Banstead and Reigate boarders. Parking is available at the front of the venue.
